Phew what a scorcher!

The 2008 Dorney Dash was hot! Congratulations to our winners, Jalal Abderrahim and Lucy Hasell. Jalal raced to a new course record of 31:55, and Lucy just missed out on £150 with a still excellent 35:49.

We hope you enjoyed your day and will come back next year!

Many thanks to everyone who took time to fill out our online survey after the event. We'll be meeting to discuss how this year's event went and the comments that you made, and do everything that we can to make the Dash 2009 even better.

Directions to Dorney Lake

The postcode for Dorney Lake is SL4 6QP. Dorney Lake is in the village of Dorney, a short distance from M4 junction 7.

If you are coming from Windsor, the fastest and shortest route is up the towpath by bike; cycle past Boveney Lock up to St Andrews Boathouse (a large arched building) and take the footpath on the left-hand side of the boathouse.

If you're coming by car...

  • Exit the M4 motorway at Junction 7
  • Go left onto the A4, direction Maidenhead, and over one set of traffic lights
  • 500 yards further on, turn left at the roundabout by Sainsburys
  • Follow the road to Dorney village
  • When the road veers left, turn right into Court Lane, signposted to Dorney Court and Dorney Lake.
  • Go past Dorney Court and turn left into the Dorney Lake site (it is clearly signed)
  • Follow the road round to the left, then drive the length of the lake down towards the boathouse; marshals will direct you to park.
